Must have valid security clearance.

 

DUTIES/TASKS

–          Manage, organize and maintain documents/correspondence

–          Plan, organize, schedule and participate in meetings, develop agendas, prepare minutes, and follow-up on action items

–          Prepare domestic travel arrangements, make logistical arrangements for conferences, meetings, training sessions, teleconferences

–          Draft routine correspondence (email, letters, memorandum, etc.)

 

Experience  

–          Minimum of 2 years experience providing administrative support in a government department

–          Minimum of 2 years experience preparing travel arrangements and travel claims in a government department

–          Experience with correspondence tracking systems

–          Experience with MS Word, Microsoft Outlook and Excel

–          Experience in scheduling meetings, in preparing agendas and minutes of meetings for multiple stakeholders

–          Experience in government contracting

–          Experience in organizing conferences and training sessions (experience working with hotels, AV suppliers, interpreters)

–          Experience managing small budgets

 

Knowledge

–          Good knowledge of government administrative policies and practices

–          Good knowledge of government travel policies and directives

–          Good knowledge of government contracting

–          Good knowledge of conference / training planning
